When prepping to go out to a party the last thing you want to do is ruin your makeup when applying mascara. I know I’m not the only one this has happened to. It’s like your lower lid lashes set you up for failure each and every time. Since I would constantly be that girl walking around with black mascara on her cheeks, waiting patiently for it to dry so it could be scratched off I decided to play it smart this go around and use an unconventional tool to apply my mascara.
Yes, what you are seeing are indeed Q-tips. The same Q-tips one uses to clean their ears instead a bit fancier. Well, of course a glittery back drop can make anything look fancy but what I mean when I say fancy is that Q-tips has a newer design called Precision Tips! The Precision tips are perfect for a beauty girl and in my opinion should be in every MUA’s makeup bag. They’re great for cleaning up slight imperfections in makeup, cleaning up around your cuticles after polishing your nails, or even.. wait for it.. applying mascara to your lower lash line.
You’re probably wondering what’s so great about the Precision Q-tips. Unlike their older cousin the Precision Tip Q-tips come with a pointed in that are great for getting into tight spaces. Notice how on the box it’s demonstrating using the Q-tips for polish clean up. Genius! What I like about these Q-tips is that they don’t seem to fray as much as the rounded version, allowing you to use these without worry that the cotton will fray and mess up your intricate manicure. Since I’m clumsy when it comes to applying mascara to my bottom lashes I decided that the only option besides just not doing it was to apply my mascara using the Precision Q-tips end to spread the mascara on to my lashes.
Notice how I’m able to easily coat each lash all while keeping my face free of Mascara. The tips are small enough to fit into any Mascara tube or you can just brush the mascara onto the Q-tip with the wand. If you loved this beauty tip then you’ll love seeing other amazing uses in beauty on the Q-Tips Instagram Page.
